A great clip from one of Robert Altman’s good 90s films: The Player (1992).
You’ll have to buy/rent/download the film to glimpse the rest, but in case you haven’t seen it already, know that Tim Robbins’ character is a big-wig movie studio exec, currently being hassled by this set of oddball police officers because he’s (rightly) suspected as having murdered a writer (whose script he had previously turned down).
The movie as a whole is all about Hollywood and movies in general, and takes a iconoclastic look at the business/politics of the studio system. It has some really good satire, and as if you needed more, it’s totally early 90s—down to the shoulder pads and general eccentrics and Whoopi Goldberg.
