Catfish: you blew me away. My favourite movie of the year. And the worst part is, I can’t really tell you why.
No, not because I’m short for words or time, but because I really think—as the poster punningly, intelligently, and ultimately incredibly profoundly hints—you shouldn’t let anyone tell you what it is.
I was fortunate enough to be primed by my friend Voytek not to watch any trailers or read any reviews; I’ve since glanced at some publicity material and wholeheartedly agree: the press really has nothing relevant in common with the film. Well, all except this inexplicable poster, that is. (Make sure to consider it again once you’ve seen the film.)
