You will be able to view their Super 8, 8mm, or 16mm films for the first time in years using proper projecting equipment.

Learn how to care for and extend the life of your films.

Home Movie Day is free and open to the public. Members of the public are invited to bring in their films or just come to watch and enjoy the films with an enthusiastic audience in a day-long celebration of amateur filmmaking and home movie preservation.

COOOL. So if anyone knows anyone (parents, grandparents) who have any of these formats they should definitely bring them in for popcorn, home movies, and good times!!

I’m helping out with this so I definitely encourage everyone to come along too! Even if you don’t have your own films, it’s a hella fun time—there’s tons of free popcorn and cool people, and it gives you an interesting perspective on times past compared to how we deal with things now.

It ain’t a Saturday night without the Freaks and Geeks boxset and a glass of wine. At least not in this house.
