Haven’t watched your home movies in years?
Don’t let your films decay, bring them to Home Movie Day!
12-2 pm - film inspection and check in
2-4 pm - screening of home movies
A film archivist will assess the quality of your film to see it they can be put through a projector without causing damage.
You will be able to view their Super 8, 8mm, or 16mm films for the first time in years using proper projecting equipment.
Learn how to care for and extend the life of your films.
Home Movie Day is free and open to the public. Members of the public are invited to bring in their films or just come to watch and enjoy the films with an enthusiastic audience in a day-long celebration of amateur filmmaking and home movie preservation.

COOOL. So if anyone knows anyone (parents, grandparents) who have any of these formats they should definitely bring them in for popcorn, home movies, and good times!!
I’m helping out with this so I definitely encourage everyone to come along too! Even if you don’t have your own films, it’s a hella fun time—there’s tons of free popcorn and cool people, and it gives you an interesting perspective on times past compared to how we deal with things now.
